Every year, guests arrive in over-the-top costumes ready to strut their stuff. At Big Night 9 there is added incentive while planning what to wear. Anyone arriving in costume with Duran Duran-themed costumes will be entered into a free raffle to win the opportunity to hang with the band after the show and have a photo with them, too! So come dressed for Carnivale as a nod to their hit song, Rio. Show up as Bond, James Bond, acknowledging their #1 Bond theme song. Wear a wedding gown to be a part of the Wedding Album. Channel your wild side and show up as Wild Boys or Hungry Like the Wolf. Grab seven of your friends and arrive as Seven & The Ragged Tiger. Take a walk on the New Moon on Monday, dressed as an astronaut or in something eco-friendly for Planet Earth. The Band draws its name from the cult movie Barbarella and had a hit song, Electric Barbarella. Make Jane Fonda envious. Or dress as a Notorious pop icon from the world of music, movies, politics, television, or 15 minutes of infamy. The History of Big Night
Big Night is an annual event that has been consistently named the party of the year by The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald, but the real story is how support garnered through the event allows us to serve children in need. Every year, the event features chart-topping entertainment and sumptuous cuisine created by world-renowned chefs. Past entertainment has included B-52’s, The Bangles, Blondie, Cheap Trick, Morris Day & The Time, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall & Oates, Kool & the Gang, Ziggy Marley, and Meatloaf. Guests come in costumes to reflect the night’s theme.
Check out past year’s parties here.

Since 1998, Big Night has raised nearly $14 million, which has helped us serve more than 9,000 children from this effort alone. Guests have Big fun while making a Big difference at this can’t-miss event! Big Night is the brainchild of Tudor Investment Corporation principal, Jim Pallotta, who was inspired to help Big Brothers Big Sisters make critical strides towards ensuring the healthy development of children throughout our community.
